Siding in Washington Township
Repair and replacement on walls, gables and dormers, with the roof-to-wall junction treated as one detail rather than two trades.
Why the same crew should do both
The place water gets into a house most often is not the middle of a roof or the middle of a wall. It is the line where the two meet: the step flashing behind the siding on a dormer cheek, the kickout at the bottom of a sidewall, the gap where a gable meets a return. When roofing and siding are two separate contractors, that junction is where the responsibility goes missing. We do both, so it does not.
What we take on
Siding inspection
Looking behind the obvious: lifted courses, failed sealant and the staining that shows water has been getting behind the cladding.
Repair and replacement
A single damaged run on one elevation through to cladding the whole house, matched as near to what is already up as the product range permits.
Dormers and gables
The details above head height that are easiest to reach while the roof is already being worked on.
Step and kickout flashing
The pieces that stop a sidewall sending its water behind the cladding instead of into the gutter.
Trim and returns
The junctions where cladding meets soffit, fascia and corner boards.
Questions about this work
Can siding be done at the same time as the roof?
Yes, and it is usually the cheaper way to do it. The access is already set up and the roof-to-wall flashing can be built as one continuous detail rather than retrofitted later.
Do you re-side a whole house or just the damaged part?
Either. A single elevation is perfectly reasonable where the rest is sound, though we will be honest with you about how closely a replacement run will match cladding that has had ten years of sun on it.
